Are there ingredients I should avoid using with vitamin C?Updated a year ago

Since vitamin C functions as an antioxidant, we recommend you don’t use pro-oxidants like benzoyl peroxide or hypochlorous acid at the same time. Using vitamin C in the daytime and pro-oxidants in the evening can work well instead.

There is a very minor risk of experiencing temporary facial redness when using vitamin C and niacinamide one after the other, but we’ve not had any reports of this occurring when clients combine our Vitamin C Superserum with the Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid Hydration cream.

Aside from that, learn to recognize signs of irritation in your skin, such as redness, flakiness, or itching. All of the products in the Protocol Skincare range are developed to work together seamlessly for optimal skin renewal, but your mileage may vary.
